Common Questions

Find answers to help your family start this journey

Not at all! The programme is designed to work across the full 3–7 age range. For younger children (3–4), the focus is on stories, simple sorting activities, and the physical experience of handling money. The conversations and jar system are fully accessible at this age — in fact, the earlier the better. You can naturally adjust the depth of each activity to match your child’s attention span and personality.

Not at all. While the core programme is designed for ages 4–11, we believe it is never too early to start planting seeds of wisdom. Children as young as 3 often enjoy the stories and simple hands-on activities. We focus on play-based learning that captures their natural curiosity about the world around them. You can adapt the family challenges to suit your little one's pace and development.

Do we need to read the books before we begin? ▾

While our books are wonderful companions, they are not a prerequisite for joining the programme. Each session stands on its own and provides all the foundational knowledge your child needs. We will reference key stories and characters as we go to help bring the lessons to life. If you do have the books, they are a great way to reinforce the weekly themes during bedtime reading.

What materials do I need for each session? ▾

We provide digital, printable activity packs that contain almost everything you will need. For most sessions, standard household items like pens, paper, and a few coins will be plenty. Occasionally, we might suggest using small jars for saving or giving, but we always keep it simple and practical. Our goal is to make these lessons easy to implement into your busy family schedule without any extra stress.

Is the programme suitable for families who aren't Christian? ▾

Yes, absolutely everyone is welcome to join our community. While our teaching is rooted in biblical principles of stewardship, honesty, and generosity, these universal values benefit every child. We teach practical financial skills like budgeting and goal-setting that are applicable regardless of faith. We simply ask that you respect the faith-led foundation of our curriculum as we learn together.

How does the refund process work? ▾

Starting on the waitlist is entirely risk-free with no upfront cost. After you have secured a spot with payment, we provide a full refund if you cancel up to 7 days before our first session. Beyond that window, while we cannot issue refunds, you are most welcome to gift or transfer your registration to another family.

Lara Ejiwunmi

Founder, Early Money Habits · Children's Author

I created Early Money Habits because I believe that the money habits a child builds before the age of 10 shape their financial confidence for life. As a parent, author, and someone who experienced the impact of not learning about money early, I built this programme to give families the tools, the conversations, and the biblical foundation I wish I'd had.

I've written three children's books on money — and now I want to bring those lessons to life in your home, together with your child, over six Saturday mornings.
