Junior Money Makers (ages 7 to 10)

Turn early money habits into real skills, before the teenage years.

Six live weeks on Zoom for children aged 7 to 10. A small group of 10 children, taught by Lara.

Founding price for the first group: £147 per child. Brothers or sisters joining too: £47 each. Church and group bookings: £130 per family for 8 or more families.

Why it matters

  • You'll spend 936 weeks raising your child. Give 6 of them to money.

  • By 7, your child's core money habits are already taking shape. Ages 7 to 10 are the years to practise them, gently and joyfully, before the teenage years bring bigger choices.

What your child will practise

Through stories and hands on activities built around the five pillars (Earn, Save, Spend, Give and Grow), your child will practise:

  • Waiting for something they want, and feeling proud when they get it

  • Choosing between needs and wants

  • Sharing and giving, with a plan

  • Earning by helping someone else

01

Earn

Money comes from work and from helping others

02

Save

Waiting for what you want, setting a goal and watching money grow

04

Give

Generosity, giving and tithing, and kindness in the community

05

Grow

A mini enterprise, how money can grow, and planning ahead

Week by week

03

Spend

Needs versus wants, and choosing well when money is limited

Celebrate

Looking back at progress, a certificate ceremony and next steps

06

How it works

  • One live hour a week for six weeks, 4 to 5pm on [Tuesdays or Thursdays]

  • A short home task each week, 10 minutes or less, plus a parent briefing after every session

  • A maximum of 10 children, so every child is seen and heard

We do the follow up, so you don't have to

Children learn quickly, then busy weeks get in the way. Each week Lara checks what your child understood, answers the questions that came up at home and builds on it. You don't have to plan a thing.

What changes for you

  • You'll know what to say when they ask, "Can I have it?"

  • You'll handle money mistakes calmly, as lessons rather than punishments.

  • You'll share a language for money with your child that lasts for years.

Rooted in biblical principles

Every lesson is built on biblical principles of stewardship, preparation, generosity and diligent effort. Families of every background and faith are warmly welcome.

Taught by Lara

Lara Ejiwunmi is a qualified Early Years educator with more than ten years' experience, the author of three children's money books and a mum of teens. She teaches every live session herself.

Questions parents ask

Do I need to be good with money myself?

No. Many parents join because nobody taught them. You'll learn alongside your child.

Do we need Lara's books?

No. Each session stands alone, though the books are a lovely way to keep the themes going at bedtime.

What materials do we need?

Mostly household items: paper, pens and coins. Occasionally a few small jars.

Do I need to sit with my child during sessions? You're welcome to stay nearby in the background. Your child takes part on their own, and you'll get a short briefing after every session.

What if we miss a session?

Each session will be recorded

My child is younger than 7. Is there a live course?

Not at the moment. Young children learn best hands on with a parent beside them, so for ages 3 to 6 we offer recorded courses and activity packs you can use at home. Browse recorded courses

We're not a faith family. Is this for us?

Yes. The teaching is rooted in biblical principles, and every family is welcome.

tESTIMONIALS

Alicja, mum

"My daughter liked the story and asked to make her a tracker, which is great!"

Anna, teacher

"This beautifully illustrated story gently introduces even the youngest children to the concept of money and its value. It helps children begin to understand that money is earned through work and effort."

Louise, mum

"My son and I read the story together, and he absolutely loved it. As soon as we finished, he even asked if we could read it again, which is always a great sign that a story has really captured his interest."

Final call

Your child will learn about money either way. Make sure they learn it from you.

Only 10 places. The next group starts 7th January 2027.
