1. Who we are
Early Money Habits Ltd (company number 17149466) is the data controller for the personal information we collect. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration reference ZC213012.
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email Lara@earlymoneyhabits.com.
We work with families and children, so we take extra care with children's information. We only collect what we need, and we never sell your data.
Â
2. What we collect
About you (the parent, carer or organisation contact):
-
your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number
-
billing details and order history (card payments are handled by our payment providers, and we never see your full card number)
-
messages you send us, and your answers to forms or surveys
-
whether you have agreed to receive our emails
About your child, only when you book a programme:
-
first name and age or school year
-
any information you choose to share to help us support them, such as learning needs
-
their image, voice and contributions during live Zoom sessions, including recordings (see section 6)
When you visit our website:
-
technical information such as your IP address, browser and device, and how you use the site, collected through cookies (see section 9)
We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. Bookings and accounts must be made by a parent or guardian.
Â
3. How we use it
We use your information to process orders, deliver our programmes and products, send booking details, run live sessions and support your child’s learning, because we need to do this to perform our contract with you. We record live sessions and share them with families in that cohort only with your consent, and we use any learning or health needs you share to support your child only with your explicit consent. We send newsletters, free resources and offers with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
We reply to your questions, handle complaints and improve our website and products because we have a legitimate interest in running our business well. We keep financial records to meet tax rules because the law requires it. If we have a safeguarding concern, we may act on it to meet our legal obligations and to protect a child’s vital interests.
Â
4. Who we share it with
We only share your information with trusted providers who help us run our business, and only what they need. They must keep it secure and use it only for the services they provide to us. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect a child from harm.
Â
5. Our service providers
Wix hosts our website, forms and bookings. systeme.io runs our online store, recorded courses and email list. Card payments are processed by Stripe, through Wix Payments, and by Square. Zoom hosts our live sessions and stores session recordings.
Some of these providers store data outside the UK, for example in the United States or the European Union. Where this happens, they use legal safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU US Data Privacy Framework.
6. Recording live sessions
We record live sessions so families can catch up on missed sessions and revisit what their child has learned.
-
We will ask for your consent when you book. You can say no, and your child can still take part with their camera off.
-
Recordings are shared only with families in that cohort, through a private link. They are never posted publicly or used in marketing.
-
We will never use your child's image, name or work in our marketing unless you give separate written permission.
-
Families must not download, share or post recordings.
-
We delete recordings 60 days after the programme ends.
You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. We will then stop recording your child and remove their image from future recordings where we can.

Â
7. How long we keep it
We keep orders and financial records for 6 years, to meet HMRC rules. Programme booking details, including child information, are kept for 1 year after the programme ends, and session recordings for [60] days after the programme ends. We keep email list details until you unsubscribe, and enquiries and messages for 2 years.
8. Keeping it safe
We use secure, password protected accounts with two step verification where available. Only Lara has access to customer and child information. Zoom sessions use waiting rooms and passcodes, and links are sent only to booked families.
Â
9. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Essential cookies make the site and checkout work. Other cookies, such as those that measure visits or support advertising, are only used if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on our website or in your browser settings.
Â
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
-
ask for a copy of the information we hold about you or your child
-
ask us to correct information that is wrong
-
ask us to delete your information
-
object to or ask us to limit how we use it
